Why Verbs Are Hard — and How VerbMaster Makes Them Easy
Spanish verbs are one of the toughest parts of the language. Unlike English, a single verb can have over 40 different forms. That's a lot to memorize—and if you don't keep practicing, they slip away fast. That's why you may blank on tests, get stuck in class, or feel nervous trying to speak.
With VerbMaster, every practice session pays off. Here's how it helps you excel in Spanish:
You remember your verbs.
Instead of cramming and forgetting, you review verb forms at just the right time so you remember them forever.
You stress less.
By doing quick Mastery Reviews each week, you won't be scrambling before tests—you'll already know your verbs.
You grow each week.
You'll see your progress add up, assignment by assignment, until conjugating feels natural.
You gain confidence.
The more verbs you master here, the easier tests, classroom participation, and real-life conversations will feel.

After this, you'll land on your Student Dashboard and view your first assignment!
The Learn Tab: Your Class Assignments
On your dashboard once you've joined a class, you'll see the first assignment from your teacher. Your assignment contains three different tasks:
Lessons
Each lesson introduces a verb type in a specific tense, teaching you the patterns you'll need before you start practicing.
Verbs
After each lesson, you'll practice verbs that use the concepts you just learned.
Choose Learn from Scratch if you're unsure, or Test Out if you know it well.
Infinitive Vocab
Infinitives are the base forms of the verbs you will learn in the assignment.
You'll practice them in groups so you can learn them faster.
Spot the Patterns
Here's the secret: the more verbs you practice, the more you'll notice endings and rules that repeat. Once you catch on to these patterns, every new verb gets easier to learn and Spanish starts to make sense.
The Review Tab: Your Memory Superpower
When it's time for you to review a verb form, the app will take you straight to your Review Tab. This is where you make sure verbs don't slip away.
Here's how it works:
- The app knows when you're about to forget a verb form.
- It brings that form back for review at just the right time.
- Each time you practice a verb form, it sticks in your memory longer.
With VerbMaster, there is no failure.
If a verb is tricky, you'll just see it more often until it clicks. Easy verbs show up less. That means you'll eventually master every single form.
Your Goal: Keep Your Reviews at ZERO
On your Review Tab, you'll see the number of reviews you need to complete. Here's what this number really means:
- When you have zero reviews, you're caught up and the verbs are safe in your memory.
- If the number grows, it means you'll start to forget those verb forms—so complete them as soon as you can!
*Always aim to get your reviews down to ZERO* — each time you hit zero, you'll earn bonus study points for leaderboard rank and dressing your verbolotls.
(You'll learn more about these features below.)
